Hey, you probably don't need to go to all the trouble of creating a custom action to trigger an event - you can probably just use the "create record" action to directly create the event record directly in the Event table.

Just to add what you said, I think this is a limited for scoped application, where the event table is not available to select in the create record.

For scoped app cases, we still have to resort to custom event creation.

That is so ridiculous.  Hey, I love ServiceNow, but 2 years later and still can't do that in Vancouver???  Raising an event would be a pretty obvious thing to do, no?

Another example of doing things half-way.
