How can we add a "create new incident" button on a List page in the service portal?

Can anyone provide advice or steps on how to add a custom button on the List page for incidents? 

We would like to add a new button "Create new incident" on below page. 

Note: We do not want to activate the OOB "New" button because we want to re-direct the custom button to the record producer, instead of the default incident form. Unless, it is possible to re-direct the OOB "New" button to our desired form (create incident record producer), let us know as well.

I would use the catalog item widget to place a new widget for your record producer rather than customizing the OOB list widget. You can do this simply be configuring a new button widget or icon link widget to point to your record producer. Here's an example I did for a workshop.

Can we place the new widget on the list view (the page in my screenshot) as that is where the users want to see the button for creating a new incident? 

Alternatively, there is a New button by default on the List view, which we disabled because it redirects to the incident form. Can we make that New button redirect to another url instead?

If you used another widget it would go above/right/left/below the list widget - wherever you place it. 

The only option to making the New button on the list widget would be to clone the widget and change the URL on your custom copy of it, then replace the widget on the page. Completely do-able and not a huge effort.
