Hi All,

While working on one custom widget, which show all catalog items Connected to Topics.

I see while we click on Popular Topic, It is table us to "emp_taxonomy_topic" page. But in the Widget, nothing is directing to this page.

can someone help me to understand?

I would also like to know If I can make my own "emp_taxonomy_topic_V2"(version 2)

Thanks

When you click a Popular Topic and the portal loads the emp_taxonomy_topic page, it may seem that your custom widget is directing the navigation, but it’s actually handled automatically by Service Portal’s built-in page-mapping logic.

I see that many Employee Center widgets don’t hard-code URLs but instead, they rely on the platform’s Table to Page map, navigation helpers, or the topic record’s own generated URL to determine which page to open.

That’s why the widget itself doesn’t show any explicit redirect code. If you want your own version - such as emp_taxonomy_topic_V2, you can simply create a new Service Portal page and then either update the Table to Page map so all topic links go to your V2 page, or modify the link inside your custom widget so only that widget uses the new page.
