How to activate Event Management on Developer instance?

Good day all,

The title should be sufficient, but to give you more information.

As one might deduct from the low amount of community posts, I am new in ServiceNow so this might be a simple, easy to answer question. I've requested for a development environment @ https://developer.servicenow.com/ and now have an instance, I would like to add/activate the Event Management plugin.

When I go to https://developer.servicenow.com/app.do#!/instance I can see my instance, and when I go to 'Action' > 'Activate Plugin' I can see these plugins:

  • Discovery
  • Domain Support - Domain Extensions Installer
  • Many to many task relations
  • Orchestration
  • Performance Analytics - Premium and all content packs

I however neither see the Event Management Plugin there nor in the v_plugin.list view. Any and all help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Wallace,

Unfortunately the Event Management plugin does not come along with the instance. You will need to contact your ServiceNow Account manager for requesting it for your instance. Then the Account manager will activate it for your organization within few days.

For more info: Event Management - ServiceNow Wiki

Refer to the point #8   .

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Ganesh

hi wallace,

just go to developer.servicenow.com , login with your credentials, at top of header there is a menu manage->instance, click on that you will get your instance information and at below the details one "action button " is there

action->activate plugin....from there you can activate your plugins

Hope this will help you,

Thanks.

I realize this is a little dated, but I had the same issue with the Madrid release and learned something new at Knowledge19 today (got help in the Genius Lounge).

I had attempted to enable the Plug-in as suggested above, but it didn't work.

My mistake was I was selecting "Event Management and Service Mapping Core" instead of just "Event Management" (I assumed more was better; wrong!).  Apparently we need the Event Management base before adding the Service Mapping.

I also found I had to install the Event Management Homepage
