How to activate event management

Hi

I can not find event management items (events , alerts etc) in the file navigator of my developer instance. How can I enable them. I have New York version..

Hi Deepali,

If the plugin is active you would find it in left nav; first check whether you are able to activate the plugin using below

1) log in to developer portal and click on manage instance>> activate plugins>> select event management.

I am also upgrading my instance to Orlando version for almost an hour now. Does it take long to upgrade?

it might take long time; you would get notified via email when upgrade is completed

For how long can I use a developer instance ? If I keep it active is there any time limit after which it will be claimed automatically?

Or can I use my developer instance as long as I want if I keep it active?
