Hi Folks,
We wanted to add the new "Clone Home" to the Admin dropdown menu. I couldn't find anything on the subject myself, so figured I'd share.
Global Scope
- Ensure you are in the Global scope
- Elevate to Security Admin
- Navigate here (replace YOURINSTANCE): https://YOURINSTANCE.service-now.com/now/nav/ui/classic/params/target/sys_security_acl_list.do%3Fsys...
- Set "Admin override" to "true"
Admin Center Scope
- Ensure you are in the Admin Center scope
- Navigate here (replace YOURINSTANCE): https://YOURINSTANCE.service-now.com/now/nav/ui/classic/params/target/sys_polaris_configurable_menu_...
- Open any record where the Menu is "Admin"
- Click "insert and Stay" in the context menu to duplicate
- Amend as required and save
Global Scope (Optional)
- Ensure you are back in the Global scope
- Elevate to Security Admin (If not already)
- Open both of the previously edited ACLs
- From the versions related list select the OOB version and revert
If you make a mistake and need to delete a menu item you can set the admin override on the delete ACLs.
