Hi,

major incidents are not meant to be auto-closed

As per docs -> Users with the major_incident_manager or admin role must close a major incident manually, after validating the resolution and when the major incident is in the Resolved state

Close a major incident

But if you still require you can update the OOB business rule for incident auto-closure or create a new one

Hi

I am new to this field, can you please tell me what is OOB business rule? How to create that?

Hi,

As per ServiceNow out of the box process you should not auto close major incident.

Please inform your customer about this process

If you wish to do then you need to update that out of the box BR which is not recommended.

Out of the box this BR is responsible to auto close resolved incidents after 7 days
