Hi,
I have a requirement that there are some custom fields which I have to deactivate and eventually delete, but before doing that I need to find all the places its being used and if there are any dependencies on it. I have been able to do that by using serviceNow studio script search and then looking in other places like transform maps, reports etc. But the one place I am struggling to look at is flow designer and workflows
Is there a way to look into flow designer and workflows to see if those fields are being called in any of them. I can only search flow names in flow designer, but not able to see which fields are being used in it. There are 1000s of flows, subflows, flowactions and workflows in our system and...not sure if going through them one by one is possible.
If anyone has a script which can do this or any other way this can be done. Any ideas would be very appreciated. Thanks!

There is a useful community approach that searches Flow Designer definitions through the internal process-flow endpoint and can help identify fields used in action inputs and flow logic:

Since a flow is moved as one update in an update set, it could be worth just checking the sys_update_xml table, select the flows and check if the custom field is in the payload. That could be very time consuming though.
