How to Discovery only the Certificates on the network and not any other CI's

Hello,

We are in the process of implementing Certificate Inventory and Management module in our organization.

We currently have discovery schedules for our inhouse servers and discover both assets and certificates which is working as expected.

We have cloud servers that are domain joined with our network and would like to understand how to discover only the certificates deployed on that cloud servers without discovering any other configuration items or assets on those servers?

Appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Ravi Teja

  1. Set up the Cloud Management application to discover your cloud servers. This involves creating a cloud discovery schedule and adding the credentials for the cloud accounts that you want to discover. You can find more information on how to set up cloud discovery in the ServiceNow documentation.

  2. Enable the CIM plugin. The CIM plugin is not enabled by default in ServiceNow, so you will need to enable it in the plugin manager.

  3. Set up a certificate discovery schedule for your cloud servers. In the CIM module, go to the "Certificate Discovery Schedules" tab and click the "New" button to create a new schedule. In the schedule form, select your cloud servers as the "Assets" to be discovered, and set the schedule frequency as needed.

  4. Run the certificate discovery schedule. After you have set up the schedule, you can run it manually by clicking the "Run Now" button in the schedule form, or wait for it to run automatically according to the schedule you have set.

This should discover only the certificates deployed on your cloud servers, without discovering any other configuration items or assets.

Kindly mark the response as Correct or Helpful.
