Hello,
Does anyone know how to find who checked out a catalog item?
In addition, I wonder if we also have a table to store checked out versions of catalog items like workflow versions?
Thank you in advance and have a nice day!

Maybe? We just found this today.
Under Related Links, click on Edit checked out item in advanced view.
Then a different Versions related list shows up for us that shows us the person that last edited it in catalog builder. Just add the updated by column to it.
I am not sure if that means it is the person that checked it out or something else. Kind of strange that a new Versions related list appeared at all.

Janel, are you referring to the Show versions related link on the related links page as pictured. If you are, that is the versioning for the related links, as in who has updated the list, not the record producer.

No. There is a UI Action called "Edit Checked out item in advanced view" on sc_cat_item that only appears for catalog_admins if the catalog item is published and it is currently checked out. It just changes the view. (In one instance it went to Item Designer view and in my PDI it went to Advanced).
I checked on this (since my post is pretty old) and it looks like it is just the normal versions related list. When you edit something in the catalog builder it automatically creates an update set. So you can see that in the normal Versions related list. Just add the updated by column to see who touched it last.
