How to generate Change Request from RITM form and there field mapping?

Hi All,

 

We have 20 Service Request on portal and we want to convert them into Change Request from RITM form if needed ?

Any have done this kind of functionality!!!

Hey,

This is best done with the ootb Standard Change Catalog. Here you can create standardized, pre-approved, low-risk change requests which can be ordered through the catalog. This is very similar to how other catalog items are accessible, but you won't need to use the request fulfillment process for it. I'd recommend using this over the alternative.


The alternative: You can create catalog items which are record producers. This is similar to the "Report Issue" catalog item which creates an incident. Note: I'd always recommend the standard change management.

Hi @Aryan 

 

Bets is Standard change, means you need to create the template for these 20 request ( proposal -- template) and then add them under standard change category and your work done. 

 

You can try with 1 and if all goes well, do it for 19 more.

Our scenarios is when end user raise a SR from portal and a specific team from servicenow can convert that ritm into change request.

1. what type of change you want to raise from RITM? ( If it is standard then we need to use the Template , if it is normal then bit easy)

2. It can be do able via Flow
