How to generate request and catalog task automatically when new request item is created?

Hello,

 

New request items were created from an import excel file into ServiceNow instance through schedule data import. There are "No Variables" in those request items. What would be the best way to create one request and a few catalog tasks for the new inserted request items?

So you've imported the catalog items yet you need to add variables and a flow or workflow to begin the fulfillment process? If you only need a flow, then you can design it in flow designer and associate with your item. If you're not using variables on the item, then I might suggest at least adding a description?

Thank you so much for your suggestions.  After imported the data from the excel file, it created catalog items.  How do you use flow designer or Business Rules script to create request and associate it with with the item?

For Example, we can use Catalog Item description to Request description.

My apologies for the delay in getting back with you. Once your catalog items have been created, then you would navigate to "maintain items" find your item and open it. Once in the item form your will see a tab labeled "process engine" and that is where you would specify the flow or workflow that you've created. I would suggest using flow designer to create your flow for the item. I've linked some documentation below on how to use it. I hope you find this information helpful.
