How to implement re-schedule of change requests?

Hi All,
We are using OOB change management and we have a requirement to re-schedule the change request when it is in scheduled state or in implement state. We need to have a UI action and on click of that it should move to Authorize state.
Can anyone help me how to achieve this requirement? What changes should be done in the workflow so as to reset the approvals or what are the best practices in such cases?

Out of the box we have UI Action - Revert to New. You can revert to New when in Scheduled state, but not Implement.

Thanks for your reply Michael, but I am looking to move the change back to Authorize state instead of New, where the approvals can also be reset.

By approvals reset you mean cleared?
