How to increase the column label length from 80?

Hi Team,

By Default "Column Label" length in column creation table is 80. How do I increases the size? and does this the best practice? Please suggest

What type of field you created ?

If it is the string you can declare more than 250 characters based on your requirement.

Thanks for your reply. I have to add yes or no choices. So I have to create Choice Type of field right?

Maximum characters allowed for Choice type is 80 right?

Choice list values allow a maximum length of 40 characters. The range of allowable numerical values is [-999, 999].

Generally it is not a very god idea to change the default lenght of field

Also you mentioned you want to add yes or mo chices then why you increase the field length
