If you’re managing contracts in ServiceNow, you probably know how handy it is to work directly in Word without switching back and forth. Luckily, there’s a dedicated Microsoft Word add-in for ServiceNow Contracts that makes this smooth and efficient.
If you’re an admin, here’s how you can set it up in just a few minutes — whether you’re on a Mac, Windows, or using Word online.
🔑 Who can do this?
This setup requires admin rights in your ServiceNow instance.

In ServiceNow, go to All → ServiceNow Add-Ins for Office → Office Add-In Manifests.
Find ServiceNow Contracts in the list.
Hit Download Manifest — keep this file somewhere easy to find.
💻 Next, install the add-in based on your device

Open any document where you want to use the add-in.
Go to Insert → My Add-ins and choose ServiceNow Contracts.
You’ll now see it under the Home tab when you need it.
🖥️ For Windows users
Publish the manifest so it’s available in your Microsoft 365 environment (you can find clear instructions on Microsoft’s website).
Launch Word.
