How to Manage Frontend Chat Retention in ServiceNow Virtual Agent for 30 Days?

  1. I am working on a requirement related to the Virtual Agent in ServiceNow. Currently, when a user opens the Virtual Agent on the Service Portal, it shows the complete chat history from previous sessions. However, the requirement is to display only the chat history from the last 30 days on the frontend. Chats older than 30 days should not be visible in the Virtual Agent interface, but all historical chat data should still be retained in the backend for record-keeping and reporting purposes.

Unfortunately, that's not possible !!

OOTB you only can completely disable the history or them show all.

I have similar requirement and wanted to check if you come across any solutions.

I know archival policies  and cleanup rules can be applied
