If you are just mapping the data from the "import Set " table to target table go with Transform map.
If you to merge the data from 2 tables and wanted to create a report then go with 'database view'.

Mapping data between 2 tables can be done in many ways.
1) We can use transform maps to map data between 2 tables
2) We can use database view to collate already existing data between 2 tables.
It would be easier if you could elaborate on what exactly you are looking for.
