How to prepopulate a field value from a record to an assessment instance question, with choice type.

I am trying to prepopulate a field value from the main record to the assessment instance question, the field type in the main record is of choice type. Tried it in flow designer through look up and update record actions, however the value is not getting prepopulated. I tried with string value

can you please better explain the requirement?

what do you mean main record,, a parent?

what are the values and how do you try to populate it, please share the configurations - scripted or data pills?

I want to prepopulate an assessment question value from the parent record, which has field type as choice. also, I want to make the assessment instance question as readonly post populating the value from the parent record.
