These are in the "Change Request - Normal Change Task" workflow.
Check out the Workflow, remove the Tasks and Publish.

We were hoping to do this without customizing the flows. Wish ServiceNow would have developed this in a way that wouldn't require customization, rather configuration with a template of some sort... Maybe a good idea to submit to SN !

Even after removing the sub flow change implementation task from the flow that we copied from OOB flow still the tasks are getting generated?

It is being controlled by Workflows now, not Flows. Go into your Workflow Editor and disable the change task sub-workflows.
