How to remove the watermark from a mailto email template

Hello - I was wondering if there was a way to remove the watermark that is added when using a mailto email template.  My email template has the record number variable in the subject line and I am running an inbound email action to pick that up and update that record which is on a different table than the original email notification that the mailto is clicked from.  The problem is that my inbound mail action is failing as the watermark is taking precedence over the record number in the subject line.  If I manually remove the watermark (Ref:MSGxxxxxx) and then send it, the inbound action picks it up the way I want and updates the record in the subject line of that email.

Thanks!!

Has anyone had success with this issue? I'm having the same problem. I have a custom approval that goes out on a custom table. The business wants a link within the approval that will allow the approver to reply with questions. The business wants those questions appended to the record in the custom table in the additional comments field, which will result in an update email going to the assigned to with the questions.

I have turned off the watermark option in my custom approval, and in fact, when viewing the approval there is no watermark shown. When I click on my mailto, the email generated shows the watermark. Unless the watermark is manually removed, the custom record is not updated. I cannot expect all users to remember to remove the watermark, so this is not a viable solution in this case.

I assume the problem I am running into is that the watermark setting on the system says "Create visible watermark in sent email. If false, create invisible watermark via hidden div tag." I don't want to turn off watermarks for all notifications, just want to disable it for this one. Does anyone have any success in getting around this?

Or is there another way I can get around this?

Thanks!
