How to Restrict users no one should be able to assign any incident to this group A only Group X should have access.

Can any please help on this.

Hi sahana1998,

If Group A should never have incidents assigned, you have a couple of options.  The simple one is:

• Go into any incident
• Right click on the label for Assignment Group and select configure dictionary
• In the reference qualifier section, add Name Is Not Group A
• Save/update

What we've done is add a checkbox on sys_user_group that when checked indicates that the group can be assigned incidents.  If you will have more than one group that shouldn't have incidents assigned, this is the preferred option.  The checkbox can be either for inclusion or exclusion depending on your need.  With that set up, just add the appropriate reference qualifier on assignment group.
