Hello all,
There is a requirement where a link for the catalog item has to be sent to the end user via email and as soon as he clicks on the link he should be redirected to SNOW and should be able to submit a request.
This catalog item should not be visible to anyone directly in the Service catalog and the end user should be able to submit the request only using this link.
Please share if any one has ideas o this or developed on similar kind of requirement.

HI Nandu,
you can send the catalog item link via email notification. Navigate to the notification which you want to configure and click on what it will contain.
In the Message HTML part, click on the yellow Highlighted icon, here you can enter the catalog item link.
Enter the URL and Text to convert as HyperLink and target should be new window... so that when user click the link it catalog item will be opened in new window.
To hide it from the service catalog and display only when the user click on the link sent in the email notification, then what you can do is remove the category of the catalog item, so users cannot see this catalog item and they will not be able to find it by global search also.. but they can navigate only by using the link provided in the email notification
Hope this is Helpful.
Mark the answer as correct/Helpful/Like based on the impact.
Thankyou.

Hi,
1)Configure a notification and embed your catalog item link in the Notification which should be triggered to the End User.
2) Define the respective User Criteria within the catalog item itself to control for whom the catalog item should be accessible to.
Regards,
Shloke

Hi Nandu,
In your email notification you have to embed the link to your catalog. After copying the URL to your catalog, try following below steps :
1. Open your notification.
2. In your Message HTML box, write the text you want to display under the link to be redirected . For ex, "Click Here"
3. Later select the "Click Here" part as shown below and click on link icon
4. Paste the link to your catalog item.
5. Hit Save/Update
Your catalog should be linked to your email Hope this helps.
