How to set field size as normal or default

Hi,

My issue is that I created a duration fields and removed Days from it by applying attribute called -"max_unit=hours".

But it reduces field's size.

How can I make it to previous or default size.

For better understanding, here I'm attaching a screenshot. Please refer to it.

Please check if by removing the attribute if that work or please check the data type  pick date only or date / time.
