How to set up related list view for workspace

In agent workspace I want the workspace view to be default for Approvers related list for all users. How can I set it? Right now it is set to default view.

Hi @samadam 

  1. Open the main record in Default view
  2. Then switch to Workspace view
  3. Navigate to the related list
  4. Open the related list in a new tab
  5. Change the view of the list to Workspace
  6. Click on configure list layout from the list header menu
  7. Add/remove the columns you want in the list view
  8. Save the list layout
  9. Refresh the related list columns in Workspace. You will be able to see the changes

OR

  1. Open the main record in Default view
  2. Then switch to Workspace view
  3. Navigate to the related list
  4. Right-click on header menu of the list
  5. Click on configure list layout
  6. Add/remove the columns you want in the list view
  7. Save the list layout
  8. Refresh the related list columns in Workspace. You will be able to see the changes.

I tried this but when I open Approval record in workspace it is still pointing to default view. Checked with multiple users

Hi @samadam 

 

Try this

 

    • Navigate to System Policy > Approvals > Approval Definitions. 
       
    • Identify the Approval Definition that is triggering the approval for your record type (e.g., RITM approvals). 
       
    • Within the Approval Definition, find the "Summarizer" field and change it to point to the specific view you want to use when the approval record is opened in the workspace. 
       

This ensures that the workspace always displays the record in the designated view rather than defaulting to the standard view.

I could not find Approval definitions, When I look at Approval rules I do not see one for HR Case. I am trying to set this on the HR case form in workspace.
