How to set variable width

Hello Community,

Is anyone able to guide me on how to make my variable sizes smaller. I'm using single line variable and its taking the whole page, i'd like it to just take up up about half or approximately the position of the red mark in the image below.

I know this is a late post, but I think it's worth mentioning you can set a start container with the specification for two columns, one side then the other, place a container split at the end of the series of variables, then the container end. What you'll have is all your variables only taking up the left side of the screen this way!
