How to standardize the CMDB name?

Hi All,

If we are using multiple discovery sources, how do we standardize the CMDB name?
Currently duplicate records are created in the CMDB, how can we stop the duplicate CI creation from different discovery sources

Thanks

Use IRE for the duplication issue. And the name is up to you: what are you allowing to update? Which source contains the correct name? What is your unique identifier from which sources?

Hi Mark,

Could you please provide any useful video links articles or documents to follow the step-by-step process to be followed for IRE and name standardization.

Thanks
