We have put in a bunch of Change Approval Policies in our test system, but the only problem is that none of them appear to be triggering.
Do I need to activate some sort of plugin to do this? I was under the impression that if a Change Approval policy matches qualifications in a table, it triggers for all changes that match the qualifications.
Can someone please point me in the right direction on how they are supposed to be used?

Hi @tahnalos ,
First thing, there are no plugin which needs to activate to run a change approval policy. The key aspect is the decisions what you have set should match, so that the approval policies gets triggered.
I would suggest you do the following.
1. Can you check if the OOTB Change approval policies are working or not? This would give you an idea how the Change Approval policies are working. Incase, if the OOTB approval policies are not working then raising an Hi case would help you. Validate this first.
2. If you have created a new Approval policies, make sure your decisions are matching with the Change criteria. Most of the time, due to mismatches, the approval policy wont trigger.
3. Last, hope you have created Decisions in the approval policies. Without this, the approvals will not trigger.
Please mark helpful/Like if the solution is in line with your expectation.

1) As far as I know, the Change Approval policies are linked to the Flow Designer. But I was under the impression that the Change Approval policies do not need the Flow Designer at all, or Workflow, for that matter.
2) The Criteria match. We have designed the models of the changes to have the states follow a specific order and the Change Approval policies are linked to that order.
3) Yes, we do have decisions in the Approval Policies. They are not running.

Bump.
I need to know if I need to link Change Approval Policies with workflow or the Flow Designer. I was under the impression that they did not need to be linked in order to work.

Hi @tahnalos ,
No, you don't have to link the change approval policy to workflow or Flow designer.
