Hi ServiceNow Community Developers,
Is there a way to turn on the enhancements and defects task? What we are looking for here is something similar to problem tasks which is currently available as a plugin that you just activate and the problem tasks related list is just there. Does ServiceNow provide something like that for defects /enhancements or this is something that one may have to create from scratch. Please advise.
Thanks,
Johannes

Have you looked at using Release Management:

Might be a little more robust than what you're looking for, but it has that type of functionality. You could also build a record producer people could submit their enhancement requests or bug fixes to, then fire off a simple workflow that goes to an approval or review task. If deemed important enough, gets pushed through to an actual assigment task for a person or group. I'm looking at building something similar to handle task requests between different IT groups, as opposed to everyone just sending Incident tickets to eachother.
Cheers,
Tim

Just adding a little to what Tim suggested. In my instance we are already using this package completely including defects and enhancements. You can read more here.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your responses, I am currently pursuing your leads. Also I am going to SN user group meeting this Thursday and will hopefully find more info about this question from the experts.
Thanks,
Johannes
