How to use a 'reference' field as an item selector in an Order Guide ?

Hello everyone.

My question is about Script on an Order Guide.

I would like to use a variable (type: Reference) linked to the table "sc_cat_item" on the first step to add the item selected on the second step "Choose Options".

For example, as you can see on the screenshot, if i enter a catalog item on theses two variables, after i have click on NEXT, i can fill this two items on the step "Choose Options".

Thanks for your help !

Jeff,

You asked me if I tried this solution on my instance?

I assume that means you can't see the screenshots I took the time to provide above? That walks through it working? It also appears you didn't read my reply fully as you replaced the wrong piece of the script and I didn't mention to do that.

Please take a moment and try re-reading it again.

Thank you!

Hello @Allen Andreas,

I can see your screensshots and i took the time to read and try your solution.

By "your instance" i mean, not a Servicenow personal instance but a Dev Instance.

Because on our enterprise we have 12 instances and the comportement is not the same between a Personnal Servicenow instance (with no Data and other Development) and a Dev/Int/Prod Instance of a Society with a lot of Data, ACL, Rules, Restrictions, Personalization, Development, etc...

I fear that the script does not work because of a configuration or security. And I don't know how to be sure that's not the case.

That's the reason of my question.

In your first answer, i don't understand why you expose your rules. Is it needed for this case ?

Because on my case i have no Rules. Just 1 Reference Variable Field and my Order guide script

Thanks
