How to use Icon Menu List in Portal header

dlively
Giga Expert

I would like to have "links" in a menu on top of my header graphic (see attachment).   I pulled in the Icon Menu List widget, but am not sure how to add links or if I am using the correct tool.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Donna Lively

Wow, I can't believe you didn't get a single 'Like' from this.   Your response helped me so much.

Hi r0b0_d3vil,

Your post helped me get through a complex requirement. thank you very much.

Is there a way to get the item labels on-click in a variable in the rootscope?

Hi Donna

This happens only if you do it manually without using the designer that's it

As soon you use the designer everything will work fine

I hope this makes sense.

For some reason, I can't drag the widget in designer. It will only let me add it manually. I don't understand why since I added the header and edited several of the links. Could it be because I am trying to add the icon menu list widget on top of the header?

Hi Donna

Quick question. Did you customize the OOB header ?

Could you please show your code if any ? To be honest with you i added the widget to the page not to the header.

Cheers
