How to use ref_ac_columns:<<field>> in Service Catalog ?

Hello All:
We have a Reference field in one of our Service Catalog Item and need to search User based on internally defined Batch number other then Name(which is by default).
In Incident form we are able use ref_ac_columns and search by User name, Email & Batch number but the same is not working in Service Catalog.
Here in Incident, we can search by using all 3 values but not in SC.
Kindly suggest.
