How to use the Modal Windows in Service Portal widget

I am trying to find out how to use the Modal Windows in Service Portal widget.

I can't find any documentation about the widget in the Docs, the community or on the web in general.
When I click on the Pencil Icon on the Service Portal Designer the Instance box that comes up isn't very clear about what to enter.

Can anybody tell me how to configure this?

Isn't that a custom widget? I can only find a widget called simply modal (having id widget-modal) OOB.

No, it's an OOTB widget. I have it in my fresh Tokyo PDI.
