I'm not sure what point you're referring to, but what I understand is that in the UI action, a pop-up is appearing.

is that a custom dialog box rendered via UI page?

You can use Click Custom Component (UI) step to click OK or Cancel button

what steps did you try and what didn't work? where it failed?

ATF have limitation on any activities on pop-ups.

You could try click modal button step.
