I have a requirement to add distribution list group name in the approval workflow.

Hello,

I have a requirement to add distribution list group name in the approval workflow but as the group name is distribution list group i am not able to view the group under approvers in groups lookup.

Below is the screenshot : 

Can anyone please help me in this.

You need to have record in sys_user_group table to be used in approval group activity since approval engine will create approval for each member in group.

Please create new group and mention distribution list email in group mail id so that everyone gets notification.
