I have Question on cmn_department Table.

Hi There,

cmn_department table comes under core_company,

In my case, on cmn_department table company field is there, but in that field the department's associated company is not populating.

please find the below attached snapshot.

can someone please help me how to get the company names of those departments name.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'cmn_department table comes under core_company' as these are two separate tables, not extend from one or the other.  In any event, right-click on the Company label and Show 'company' to confirm that this field is displayed from the department table and not elsewhere

Once you've confirmed the correct field is displaying on the department form, this is the field that associates a company to a department, so if nothing is shown there isn't one, and if you're seeing one somewhere else it's not setup correctly.

The company field on the cmn_department table reference the core_company table. 

Hence, you can get data from the core_company table. So what do you mean by "company is not populating"? Should it auto-populate? can't you lookup companies? or?

Hi Priya, In my opinion, the reason you are able to see 'Company' field explicitly could be due to the 'View' associated to your user profile. And the Company filed not populating value is due to the multiple companies associated with that department.
