I need change modify existing workflow.

Hi Community,

 

I need change modify existing workflow but unable to modify, It is showing "Published(checked out by)".

why is it showing like that, Please advise how can i modify existing workflow

Please find the below screenshot and advise

Hi @Srinivasu2 ,

 

Yes,I have seen this where you may be attempting to edit the wrong version of the workflow. Sometimes the workflow editor may now take you to the checked out version of the workflow and may take you to the published version which is read only instead. Try:

 

  • Navigate to Workflow \ Administration \ Workflow Versions(wf_workflow_version)
  • Search where name = your workflow (Ideally,Only 1 version should be published true.)
  • Find the one that published is false and checked out by you and open it by clicking the Name column
  • Under related links, click Show Workflow
  • Hopefully the workflow is editable now

Hi @Srinivasu2 ,

1) Navigate to Workflow->Administration->Workflow Versions(wf_workflow_version)

2) Search for your workflow with workflow name

3) You should see a record of your workflow checked out by you open that record.

4) Under related links, click Show Workflow it will published.


5) Then you can checkout using your profile

Hi @Srinivasu2 ,

 

I have also encountered this issue and the simple steps that I followed to get it resolved were as below:

  1. Navigate to the 'catalog item' of this workflow.
  2. Open the catalog item, navigate to the form section called 'Process Engine' and then click on the 'show workflow' icon from there.Screenshot 2023-09-30 205334.png
  3.  The workflow will be editable now.
