Hello
I need to restrict the "assigned to" user to don't be able to update the STATE on a change request and I want to know, Which is the best practice to do this?
Is it better to use ACL?
Thanks

Hi @Abigail
Yes, that's correct. Using an Access Control List (ACL) is considered the best practice for restricting users from updating specific fields like the state on a change request in ServiceNow.
ACLs provide a structured and robust way to enforce data access and modification rules, ensuring that the system behaves according to your business requirements while maintaining security and data integrity
