I was not challenged for MFA code day after setting it up

Setup MFA against my account and first time I logged on it asked me to configure MFA which I done and it worked as expected, but when I logged in the following day I was not challenged for my MFA code to login.
I have checked my settings against the documentation on how to configure MFA and have carried out all the steps, any ideas where I have gone wrong or if I have missed something?

Under Multi-factor Authentication on the Menu select Properties.

Ensure Enable Multi-factor authentication is checked (see below)

Check your user record and ensure the Enable Multifactor Authentication is set to true

If this still doesn't work check: https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0831940

Hi Paul,

I have carried out all these steps, MFA is setup against the user and on their first logon it did prompt for them to set it up - carried out the steps and got logged in as expected.

But today when they entered their login information it logged them straight in and did not prompt for any MFA codes - but their account is still set with MFA enabled....

Tried clearing browser history, checking all settings against another instance which if fully functioning but I must be missing something

Thanks

Hi,

What you describe sounds like behaviour of older Release when one was trying to enable MFA for user that was authenticating with SSO. See here and here

Are you on latest Release or using authentication method suported for MFA?

Regards!

My instances are on San Diego.

I will have a read through the docs you provided and see if these give me any indication.

Thank you
