iFrame / Embedded Content on Employee Center

Hello,

We are currently developing our Employee Center and have configured using 'Quick Links', for external sites, such as our Intranet to open in a new tab. See the screenshot below for an example:

That being said, I have been advised and read online that I could use 'Content Links' and 'iFrames' to display the contents of the external site within a widget on the ESC. So, instead of clicking a link that takes you to an external webpage, the site's content would load within a widget and look like it is embedded within the ESC.

I am seeing conflicting answers about whether this is at all possible.

If it is possible, could someone share the steps on how to achieve this?

I really appreciate any help you can provide 🙂

Not sure if that was old advice or not, but I definitely would advise against iFrames. It's going to cause a lot of issues.

I would stick to what you have.

Alternatively you can look into "App Launcher" which is part of employee center pro

Thanks, @Mike_R , it was recent advice from a partner of ours who uses the Service Portal. However, we are configuring ESC.

Can you give any more info as to why it would not be advisable? Is this not an OOTB feature?

Mostly for user experience and security reasons.

Some websites won't render or work properly in an iFrame and for security concerns just do a google search for "security risks iframes". You'll get answers such as this:
