Implementing Service Catalog Functionality in the Mobile Agent App

I hope you’re all doing well.

I’m currently working on a requirement where we need to enable Service Catalog functionality within the Mobile Agent app. I understand that Now Mobile is primarily designed for requesters to browse and submit catalog items, while Mobile Agent is mainly intended for fulfillers to manage assigned tasks and incidents.

However, due to specific business needs, I’ve been asked to explore the possibility of implementing or extending Service Catalog capabilities in the Mobile Agent app.

Has anyone tried or successfully implemented something similar? If so, could you please share your approach, any limitations you faced, or best practices to consider?

Any insights, documentation references, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As a BPC, I’d recommend not doing this due to cross-application configuration concerns. Both applications are designed for specific purposes, and performing cross-scoping activities between them can impact their core functionality and potentially affect licensing as well.

Before proceeding, please connect with your ServiceNow Account Manager and get a formal sign-off. If approval isn’t obtained, do not proceed with the change.
