Import data using FTP method

Hi,

I have a requirement where i want to import data using FTP method and i want retrieve a single file, in the file path how can i give a file path where i want to retrieve a single file among multiple files .

To import data using FTP method and retrieve a single file among multiple files in ServiceNow, you can follow these steps:

1. Create a Data Source:
- Navigate to System Import Sets > Administration > Data Sources.
- Click on New to create a new data source.
- Fill in the necessary details like Name, Type (File), Import set table name etc.

2. Configure the FTP Server:
- In the same Data Source record, fill in the details for the FTP server.
- Provide the FTP Server's details like Server, Port, User name, Password.
- In the File retrieval method, select FTP.
- In the File path field, provide the exact path of the file you want to retrieve. For example, /folder/subfolder/filename.extension

3. Load Data:
- Once the data source is set up, you can load the data by clicking on the Load Data button.

Please note that ServiceNow does not support wildcard characters in the file path. You need to provide the exact path of the file you want to retrieve.

Also, ensure that the user provided for the FTP server has the necessary permissions to access the file.
