In a custom app I should be able to tag users same as OOTB thing in Worknotes

I need the "@" tagging feature to be added to the custom application
You know when you are in the work notes and you can "@" and select user. I created the app and extended from task thinking it would have brought it over but it does not work.

what version is your instance built on?
Also, what is your app like?
