When I am opening a ticket for some reason a different users name is populated in the opened by field. I can manually change it to my name but would like to not have to do that every time I open a ticket. The users name that display is a consultant that added users to the instance and am wondering what needs to be done to correct this small issue and what may have caused this to happen.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Hi Ian,
I would first make sure you're not impersonating anyone when you open a ticket. After that I would turn on the field watcher for the opened by field and seeing if there's some business rule or something setting the field's value after it's originally set.

Hi Ian,
Firstly i am surprised to know that you can change the "opened By" field on any record, that's not how it should be. Opened by should be populate by he system and should be non editable to all users, even Admins.
If I were you i would
1) Ensure that you are not impersonating anyone
2) First check the user records imported to check of they are correct.
3) Clear server and browser cache
4) If the problem persists then i would look in scripts to find out what is script is populating opened_bu(Brad's solution works)

Thanks for the quick responses I have cleared cookies and cache, definitely not impersonating, and the user records are correct both mine and the user who keeps populating when I open a record. And yes I agree with you opened by should be read only and it will be. We are currently just engaging the consultants now to set us up and I came across this little issue as they were adding some users for development.
I am currently viewing the Field Watcher functionality and no business rules or clients scripts are coming up, only the following as no development has yet taken place(to my knowledge) other than to configure the theme color for the instances.
