I have a query regarding how IRE (Identification and Reconciliation Engine) executes in the case of dependent and independent identification rules.
I’ve configured IRE on the Hardware class. Since the same IRE rule applies to child classes, I would like to understand the execution flow for my child class, which is the Computer class, configured with an independent identification rule.
Could you please clarify the following:
- Which IRE rule is executed first: the parent (Hardware) or the child (Computer)?
- If the child’s independent identification rule does not find a match, does the system then check for the parent’s IRE rule?
I also have a similar doubt regarding dependent identification rules. Could you please guide me on how this process works for dependent rules as well?
