Input field keyboard events

In custom UI page there is a field and a save button, the button gets enabled only after entering or filling the value into the field. Manually its working as expected but using ATF button is not getting enabled even after entering the value. Is there any solution to handle this scenario using ATF ?? Is there is any way to enter the value as keyboard keypress events ?

You cannot test everything using ATF. There are some limitations.

Please share complete ATF steps and it's failing at which step.
