Hi @Vedavalli ,
In ServiceNow, integrations play a crucial role in connecting the platform with other systems, applications, and services. They facilitate data exchange, automation, and process orchestration, both for inbound data coming into ServiceNow and for outbound data leaving ServiceNow.
We have  inbound and outbound integrations in ServiceNow:
Inbound Integration: An inbound integration is used to bring external data into ServiceNow. This could be data from a third-party system, a service provider, or any other external source.
Example of an inbound integration: Your organization uses an external HR system to manage employee records. You want to synchronize employee data from the HR system with your ServiceNow instance. This data includes employee names, contact information, and department details.
Outbound Integration: An outbound integration is used to send data from ServiceNow to external systems, applications, or services. This data may include incident updates, service requests, notifications, or any other information that needs to be shared with external systems.
Example of an outbound integration: When an incident is created or updated in ServiceNow, you want to notify a third-party ticketing system to ensure proper incident tracking and resolution. You also want to provide real-time updates to the end users.
Please mark it as solution proposed and helpful if it serves your purpose.

Thanks,

Anand
