Is anyone using Knowledge to house Standard Operating Procedures, SOP?

I would like to create a Knowledge Base for Standard Operating Procedures for each of our departments. I need it to trigger task to tell certain users to review the SOP and then to complete a quiz once reviewed. Wanted to know if anyone is doing anything similar to this?

Thanks,

Loren

Hi Loren,

We implemented service catalog item and workflow to maintain SOP.

Our workflow has review and approvals ( process owner, system owner) of CI ( for which SOP is tagged) so that after approvals are done, a record will be created in custom table with SOP details. ( e.g SOP number, description, department).

Our change_request table references this custom table so that SOP is pulled for creating change records.

This way you can report on custom table to find out which SOPs are active and configured on your instance.

Also, SOP maintenance process is automated.

Regards,

Sachin

Hi Loren, Checking in to see if you’ve implemented the recommended approach and how is it working out for you. I’m new to SN and researching ideas on storing SOPs, run books, operational alert response, etc. Thanks, Angie
