I want to create a new further category field in the incident form which contains a list of choices the users can select from based on the category software but the user should be available to select multiple at the same time. Is it possible to use list collector if not, how can archive the same? Thank you in advance

Greetings @solanovale. Both the Category and Subcategory are String fields with Choice options available. The Subcategory field is dependent on the Category field so the Subcategory choices show dependent values that map back to the Category choices. If you wanted to go with a multiple select field type, you'd have to create a new List (Reference) type field and have a table that has all of the same options as the Category and Subcategory have currently.
Can you elaborate on the value you are trying to achieve by having a multiple select Subcategory field? Wouldn't that make reporting and trend analysis much more difficult at the Subcategory level?

I think no.... because list collectors are a variable type for catalog items only and aren’t supported as regular form fields on task/incident forms......what you can do instead for multi-selection on an incident form is either use a List field type on the incident table (a reference list that stores multiple sys_id and allows users to select multiple referenced records), or if your choices are static you can create a multi choice/checkbox field and allow users to pick multiple options that way, and then use client script/ui policies to control visibility and filtering logic if needed....

Hi @solanovale ,
List Collector type field only available for Service Catalog form, On Incident form you can use LIST type field similar to watch list.
