What does it mean? I found this Q-A on sevice now guide.
https://store.servicenow.com/appStoreAttachments.do?doc_type=store_faq&inline=true
Q: I’m a customer with on-prem instances, can I purchase apps from the Store?
A: Yes, but in order to obtain apps from the store the on-prem instance must be registered with ServiceNow HI CMDB, the app purchaser must have HI credentials, and access must be open to servicenow.com and service-now.com domains via https.

You can't install a store app without Hi account, and developer instances are managed outside Hi. The best option to install a free/trial version of the app is to use a customer sub prod instance.

Is there a way to request for test instance? I need to test the installation of an app and then its configuration with ServiceNow.
The developer account does not allow HI access and as you shared above that we cannot use developer edition to install an app.
I tried using the - I don't have HI credentials options to use the security code but as the instance is managed by you ( Developer instance ) I cannot move forward.
I am kind of stuck and not able to test the functionality.
any help will be appreciated.
