Dear Experts
I have a catalog item that a member of my team accidentally copied and multiplied.
I would like to delete them as they are unnecessary, will this cause any problems?
Best regards.

Hi @M_Tomy,
Typically, best practice would be to deactivate for a period before deleting (if required) for records, however, as this is a duplicate which was mistakenly created, I would say to look to deactivate and delete sooner rather than later so as to avoid confusion and cause data integrity.
As @Dr Atul G- LNG mentioned, a little due diligence goes a long way. Check that no Requested Items have been raised against this duplicate?
Was it deactivated soon after it was mistakenly created? What sort of time frame has the duplicate been available for?
@Anurag Tripathialso raises a valid point regarding the environment being a key factor in the decision.
To help others (or for me to help you more directly), please mark this response correct by clicking on Accept as Solution and/or Kudos.
Thanks, Robbie

Dear Everyone
This time I just created it by mistake, I didn't create any particular request or task, so I will discuss it with my team members and will probably delete it.
After I threw the question, it was off time and I was surprised to see so many replies afterwards.
It was very helpful.
Thank you all very much.
Best regards.
